This research project will update our understanding of the impacts on the climate and stratospheric ozone layer of hydrogen emissions associated with its future use as an energy source.

Hydrogen is an indirect greenhouse gas because its emission affects the concentration of ozone and methane in the atmosphere; it may also affect the amount of ozone in the stratosphere.
