The Care Navigation Service (CNS) a part of South Central West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) operating out of Mallard Court, Bridgwater delivers service user information and pathway direction for E-referral and Patient Transport Services via a Call Centre type service. It is recognised that the current 3rd party provided call centre telephony solution at Mallard Court is no longer fit for purpose to meet the needs of the CNS service in terms of resilience, capacity, capability, speed to market and scalability. In addition to the CNS call centre the service also supports the rest of the facility with standard telephony. The CNS service has recently been awarded a new contract that requires additional capacity as of 1st July 2019 and therefore require the current provision to be replaced.
This requirement is to transition over to a new fit for purpose resilient cloud UK hosted telephony service that is flexible, scalable and future proof. All the key functions and configuration of the current system will need to be replicated to the new system. The requirement is for a service that is 2nd and 3rd line supported by the supplier with 1st line (including Moves add and Changes) being delivered via the SCW Service Desk.
