BFI’s five year plan, BFI 2022, includes a commitment to a ten-year skills strategy with Screen Skills (Creative Skillset) to deliver a signposted, industry-backed professional skills framework. The strategy aims to future-proof growth in the UK’s film sector.
A key strand of the strategy is the 10 Point Action Plan which was developed in response to a Skills Review which examined the skills needs and challenges facing the UK’s craft and technical skills area. The Action Plan aims to address a number of challenges and skills issues identified in the Skills Review.
The BFI is seeking to commission a study which will examine the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes around the planning and delivery of its 10 Point Action Plan currently being implemented by Screen Skills.
More specifically, the study will aim to assess whether the skills gaps and shortages, identified as part of the development of the 10 Point Action Plan, are being effectively and efficiently addressed by Screen Skills.
