Before we can respond to any Invitations to Tender on your behalf we need to know all about your company. This is a process of data extraction and conversations that enable us to build an understanding of who you are and where you want to go.
We call this process the Tender Readiness Check (TRC) and it’s a series of questions across a 7-page checklist. We don’t expect you to have answers to all the questions but the more detail we have the better.
If we only start this process when you see a tender notice you’d like to respond to then we’ll probably not have sufficient time to build this understanding. ITTs only tend to be open for 2-4 weeks, so the sooner we can get started, the better.
The TRC has 3 levels: Bronze, Silver & Gold
Bronze TRC – £450 + vat
Let’s just get all your information together. We’ll set up an online bid library which you and our tender writers have access to. You can load the information yourself or forward it to us and we’ll do the necessary.
Once all your essential information is gathered we are then in a position to review any tender opportunities that might be of interest to you. We help you by ensuring that you meet the qualification criteria and, above all, to consider whether the contract is right for you and your likely chances of success.
Spending time on tenders that stand little chance of winning is a waste of resources and that’s something we’re keen to avoid: we’ll review any such contract notices free of charge before we let you have our quote for writing the necessary tender.
Silver TRC – £550 + vat
All the above plus we’ll also fully identify your core service offerings and set up our research systems to find potential ITTs likely to be of interest to you. We’ll do a quick review of each one that we find before forwarding it for your consideration.
If you like what you see we’ll then dig deeper, establish the qualification criteria and quote you on writing tender response if it’s a good match.
Gold TRC – £750 + vat
All the above plus most of the readily accessible ITTs tend to be for public sector (council/NHS/government-funded) projects. Go for Gold and we’ll invite you to give us a list of the top 12 companies you would like to do business with as well: we’ll then research their procurement processes and advise you accordingly.
Obviously, tendering is a process that you can do yourself if you’re prepared to spend the time but most business owners who try this fail to answer the questions properly and simply start giving the sales pitch that they would in a face to face meeting.
