You won’t find other training events quite like ours because we have a unique set of trainers; our MD used to work as a public sector Buyer, putting together some of the biggest NHS and Government tenders and knows exactly what the buyers are looking for. As a Bid Management company, we are often asked about how to complete the sustainability section of the bid compliantly and our new training workshop will give you all you need to know about how to do this correctly – including details around social value, net zero, and carbon capture – in the way that public sector bodies want to see it.

This workshop will be run by our sustainability expert, Kit Connell, and our Managing Director, Phil Norman. Thinking about Bidding for Public Sector Contracts? Here’s how to get started.

Bidding for public sector contracts gets a bad rap. The un-enlightened think it’s a closed shop, or too fiddly, or too time consuming and unnecessarily bureaucratic. We know first hand that this isn’t the case. We’ve seen companies go from no public contracts to many in a relatively short time frame by understanding the process, applying strategy to that process and approaching each bid in a consistent and thoughtful way.  

To be truly successful with bidding for public sector work requires knowledge, effort and planning. This unique training workshop will show you how it’s done. The workshop will cover:

  • Why is the public sector tender process as it is?
  • How to research relevant contracts
  • How to identify and pre-qualify opportunities
  • Develop a bid strategy and learn techniques to score well
  • How to start writing a bid!

The training will be run by both Winning Tenders’ MD, Phil Norman, and our Client and Account Manager, Blaire Pretorius. Having previously worked in procurement for both the Government and NHS, setting up, marking and scoring all manner of tender responses, Phil knows public sector tenders inside out. He is also a successful ex bid writer and now Managing Director here at Winning Tenders. Blaire is an experienced Bid Writer, having worked within a large technology organisation managing large scale, multi stakeholder bids and is now our main point of contact for our much-valued Winning Tender clients.
